Ceremonial Grade Matcha

Ceremonial Grade Matcha

$20.00Price

Origin: Japan

One of the oldest forms of tea, Matcha claims its fame from Japan's tea ceremony and refinement of the craft.  Finely ground into a powder from the highest quality green tea, Matcha is prepared traditionally using a bamboo whisk in a ceramic tea bowl.  Matcha itself hosts the same benefits of green tea, though exponentially higher, and it is said that drinking one cup of Matcha is equivalent to drinking ten cups of normal green tea.  Significantly higher in antioxidants, Matcha is also higher in caffeine and catechin, which has known cancer-fighting properties.  Our Matcha is certified organic, ceremonial grade tea imported from Japan.

Brewing Instructions: Use 1/3 teaspoon for 12 oz of water heated to 185F/90C.  Whisk tea until thoroughly mixed with the water and gentle foam presents.

Matcha can also be used in lattes, smoothies, or other beverages as well as incorporated into many cooking and baking recipes.
